As an original team member for its 2018 inaugural year, Chando helps to produce and organize the festival’s programming, scheduling, and filmmaker relations prior to and during the festival. Additionally, she coordinates and oversees speaking panels, screening Q&A’s, and serves as an attendee/filmmaker liaison.

Dedicated to the advancement and achievement of the next generation of female filmmakers in film and television, HER VOICE aims to inspire and create accessibility, outreach, and community through various workshops, summits, content, and mentorship opportunities

Executive Producer

Chando has served as Executive Producer for the projects she’s directed which include: THE DINNER PARTY, Chando’s digital series in which she also created, that brings together a diverse group of women to share their unique perspectives on life over dinner. NSFW, a pilot presentation also Executive Produced by Eric Amadio (SNOWFALL, FX).

Producer

With experience producing music videos and network television promos, Chando also served as Producer for Suzanne Weinert’s directorial debut short A GOOD SON which world premiered at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival and continued on to be an official selection at over a dozen U.S. and International festivals. Most recently Chando produced a proof of concept short, HEAR THE DARK.

The Her Voice Podcast is about getting candid and having meaningful conversations with female filmmakers in regard to their challenges and triumphs in the film and television industry and their unique experience of finding their voice. Male entertainment industry professionals who are opening doors for gender equality will be invited to the conversation as well, providing their own insights and perspectives on an evolving industry.
